JOB DESCRIPTION

Job Title: Deputy Manager

Band: 5B

Reporting To: Senior Manager

Department: Finance

 

Location: Gurgaon

 

 

BRIEF PROFILE AND WORK EXPECTATIONS FROM THE CANDIDATE:

 

  • IND AS financial: Responsible for preparation of IND AS based financial for the company and for holding company for consolidation of results.
  • IGAAP Financial and Notes to accounts: Help for preparation of IGAAP financial and NTA for the company.
  • SEBI format financials: Responsible for preparation of financial statements for the submission under SEBI requirement.
  • Management Reporting: Responsible for preparation of MIS, Flash and forecast, Opex and Balance sheet analysis, Actual Vs budget walk, Profit walk etc.
  • Quarterly audit: Statutory audits, Internal Audit including ICFR. Leading the audit part and a complete audit management.
  • Internal Financial Controls (IFC) maintenance at company level. ICFR- Responsible for ensuring sufficient controls are put in place and are tested on periodic basis.
  • Projects – finance automation project to be handled with IT team. Testing of system requirements, evaluate new requirements and providing CRs to IT, liase with IT for resolution of defects and delivery, testing of requirements
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with accounting standards, SEBI, the Companies Act 2013, and the IRDAI regulations.
  • Regulatory reporting support –
  1. Preparation of reports for submission to IRDAI/Life counsel, providing information/details required by IRDAI/Life counsel etc.
  2. Public Disclosures
  3. BAP Reporting
  4. Newspaper publication
  • Internal reporting – Providing data to actuaries, MIS team on a monthly basis

 

 

 

 

 

 

DESIRED COMPETENCIES/ QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Chartered Accountant – 2- 4 years qualified experience
  • Proficiency on working in MS – Office (Good on Excel & Power Point) and Oracle financials
  • Good knowledge of IND AS, Accounting practices and standards, Companies Act, SEBI and IRDAI.
  • Knowledge of automation tool and techniques for finance function
  • Excellent analytical and quantitative skills
  • Communication Skills, Discussion and coordination with Cross functional team
  • Life Insurance experience in Financial Reporting

  • Timely submission of reports in line with regulatory and management requirements and continuous efforts to reduce time taken to make reports with enhanced controls.
