Deputy Manager-Medical Underwriting

JOB SUMMARY
Utilizing fundamental underwriting knowledge to assess cases based on Reinsurance & Self-Retention guidelines. It involves, distinguish between cases for ceding to reinsurers and those to be self-retained from the issued base. Additionally, they will conduct audits, collaborate with Underwriters (UWs) to address risks, analyze data, generate reports, perform system tagging, conduct testing, and provide support to the test team as needed.

Key Responsibilities:
1.    Utilize fundamental underwriting knowledge to assess cases based on Reinsurance & Self-Retention guidelines.
2.    Distinguish between cases for ceding to reinsurers and cases to be self-retained from the issued base.
3.    Conduct audits on identified cases to detect deviations in policy issuance.
4.    Maintain close collaboration with Underwriters (UWs) to promptly address identified risks.
5.    Analyze data and generate comprehensive reports.
6.    Identify cases requiring system tagging and rectify any tagging gaps in the system.
7.    Perform testing of new rules as needed to ensure seamless incorporation of new campaigns into the system.
8.    Provide support to the test team as and when required.

Qualifications and Skills:
•    Bachelor's degree with 3+ Years’ Experience
•    Proven experience in underwriting or insurance industry.
•    Strong understanding of Reinsurance & Self-Retention guidelines.
•    Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
•    Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
•    Proficiency in data analysis and report generation.
•    Experience with system tagging and testing is a plus.
•    Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
