Product Manager (New Product Development)
Designation: Deputy Manager/Manager
New Product Development (NPD) Unit is a focal team for ideating, planning and ensuring readiness and launch of new product/proposition in Max Life Insurance.
Key responsibilities of Product Manager in New Product Development Unit as follows:
- Strategize and develop product roadmap for Max Life Insurance through field in-sighting, primary and secondary research
- Conceptualize and launch new product and enhance value proposition of existing products through re-pricing or feature enhancement in line with agreed Product Calendar for the year
- Engage with cross-functional teams for operational and launch readiness of new product and functionalities
- Pre-Align stakeholders in IT/Legal/Pricing/Marketing/Distribution/Training to ensure smooth and timely launch of products/solutions.
- Responsible for timely launch of product across channels, product training for sales, customer service and other back end functions.
- Improve Point of Sales experience by developing new tools to pivot from “What to Sell” to “How to Sell” mode
- Closure on Important Product design elements and channel alignment as required with Product Channel Managers or Channel Heads.
Preference – Candidate with strong understanding of life insurance products preferably with a prior experience in product development or management
KEY COMPETENCIES/SKILLS REQUIRED
- Ability to work with cross functional teams and adapt in dynamic work environment
- Data interpretation skills (analytical in nature)
- Detail oriented, organized, critical thinker with strong work ethics
- Good interpersonal & communication skill
- Proficiency in MS PowerPoint, MS Word and MS Excel
QUALIFICATION & WORK EXPERIENCE:
- Preference to candidates with MBA from a good business school with 4-5 years of work experience
- Life Insurance domain expertise with Product Development/Management experience
- Life Insurance/Finance Certifications like LOMA, III , CFP preferred (not mandatory)
