Function Summary

The Bancassurance Department within Axis Max Life Insurance plays a critical role in driving the distribution of life insurance products through our strategic partnership with Yes Bank. This department leverages Yes Bank’s existing customer base and infrastructure to offer insurance solutions.

Bancassurance Department serves as a bridge between Axis Max Life Insurance Company and Yes Bank, ensuring that insurance products are effectively marketed and sold to a wide customer base, while maintaining high standards of customer service, compliance, and performance.

Below is a summary of the key functions typically performed by the Bancassurance Department:

  1. Sales and Distribution Management
  2. Customer Relationship Management
  3. Compliance and Regulatory Oversight

Job Summary

Contribute to the development of the strategy and implementation of the Business Plan for the Bank partnership. Define directions and objectives considering both internal and external scenarios to maximize revenue and profitability from the relationship. Sustain a successful relationship with the partner, characterized by a high level of strategic alignment & tactical engagement in the life insurance business.

 

Incumbent should spearhead channel-level initiatives, manage ambiguity effectively, and work independently.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct market research using publicly available information and collaborate with sales leaders for competition benchmarking on key parameters

 

  • Lead the development and execution of business strategies, collaborating with senior executives to align on long-term goals and priorities

 

 

  • Simulate costs, design, and launch Campaigns and Performance Management Schemes (Goal Sheet, and Career Progression)

 

  • Analyze the effectiveness of Performance Management Schemes and Campaign management, offering course correction where necessary

 

 

  • Enable sales governance rhythm for Business Heads by providing adequate data and business insights for effective Sales reviews and decision-making

 

  • Prepare business highlights and review documents of the channel for Board Members, Top Management, and External Partners

 

 

  • Conceptualize, design, and improve Templates for New Dashboards/Reports along with key stakeholders for Performance Management

 

  • Utilize data analytics and deep dives to find answers to business problems or enhance business visibility in unexplored areas

 

 

  • Support Management with business intelligence and employee performance analysis for better decision-making

 

  • Negotiate and monitor costs and commissions. Set standards and guidelines for the team. Periodically review actual spends vs. standards and takes appropriate action in order to maintain expense ratios to ensure sustainability of operations.

 

 

Measures of Success:

 

  • Manage cross functional and internal team to submit deliverable as per agreed timeliness
  • Ensure high quality of review documents, dashboards, and conceptualization of new reports.
  • Stakeholder management - work alongside decision-makers on a day-to-day basis to address business-specific requirements.
  • Productivity Measures (Case Rate, Case Size, AFYP per FTE, Seller Activisation, Persistency etc.)
  • Headcount vs. plan
  • No. of training interventions vs. plan
  • No of customized training programs
  • No. of Sales Promotions
  • Promotion wise success criteria
