Channel Summary

The agency channel refers to a distribution method where insurance products are sold through agents. These agents act as intermediaries between the insurance company and customers, facilitating the sale of policies, providing customer support, and offering advisory services. This initiative is expected to improve customer experience especially in markets where customers prefer human interaction. It also supports customer in

  1. Resolving policy service need
  2. Renewal collection to resolve policy holder’s service needs, Cross sale opportunity

Job Summary:

  • Increase NRI Insurance contribution to overall region’s business by
  • Developing relationship with the AA’s to enhance NRI insurance contribution
  • Driving Cross Sell to leverage the existing NRI customer base for life insurance
  • Leveraging Channels (LPC, AAP & CEIP) to drive productivity and growth
  • Leveraging L&D function to drive active current class Agents
  • Driving the agency for recognition and rewards platform
  • Driving them for council and MDRT recognitions

Key Responsibilities/ Key Deliverables:

  • Establish and develop relationships with Agents, Managing Partner, Associate Partners, and ADMs and strategize about how to drive sales within the available product range and territory.
  • Identify, educate, train and support ADMs and AAs especially current class and prior class and be reactive to their needs.
  • Identify and maintain a list of 25-50 focus agents/ and ADMs and above who are willing and able to increase productivity by prospecting for NRI insurance.
  • Develop Ad hoc presentation explaining selling related concepts.
  • Develop presentation skills and product expertise in order to educate and motivate agent and field management on their product line with Sales Stories and NRI insurance (includes industry training and conference)
  • Hold workshops & seminars.
  • Support agent by collecting and communicating product competitiveness data

Desired qualification and experience

Job Specifications:

  • Graduate
  • Candidate’s background to be from NRI banking or NRI Insurance from the same area with experience of at-least 3-4 years of selling LI, CASA and other savings instruments to NRIs.
  • Should be at-least G3/M3 in last Performance cycle and should have been in the current role for at-least 15 months

  • High level of relation making skills and ability to build trust
  • High level of action orientation and learning skills
  • Ability to role model Max Life Insurance way of working
  • Ability to work under pressure and has good product, sales process knowledge

Should be willing to travel across location in the region
